CELEBRATE THE ART OF HIP HOP IN OLD CITY, PHILADELPHIA
PHILADELPHIA, PA Sharp with Art Group, well known for their art shows and exhibiting at Urban Outfitters Navy Yard is showing their work during First Fridays at Top Hat in Old City.  On June 3, 2011 Sharp with Art Group will bring you The Spin –N- Spray Show, a show dedicated to the art of Hip Hop.

Sharp with Art Group (SWAG) is an organization of visual artists dedicated to creative artistic expression, community service, and freedom of speech. Founded in the summer of 2009 by six friends from the Philadelphia and New York art scenes (Tone Casso, Shiz, Neef, Rell Stylez, and Jae Martin), SWAG was created out of the founding members’ awareness of the heightened interest in art throughout the country and the potential for a “new artistic renaissance movement” consisting of new young artists using their art to express themselves and their views of society

The Spin –N- Spray show will feature hip hop themed artwork from Sharp with Art Group as well as EWW Creative Solutions (Charles Chuck Edwards, Mo Walton, Larry Wright), Taurin Clark and other artists in the Philadelphia area. The event is free and all artwork show will be for sale.  There will be SWAG BAG Giveaways, an Art Auction, Drink Specials and Appetizers.  The show runs from 7:00 pm to 10:00 pm and you must be age 21 or older to enter.

Since its inception, SWAG has done a multiple number of art shows, live art appearances, professional art projects, TV appearances, and interviews. As artists, Sharp with Art Group has put on a number of shows in the Philadelphia area, all with successful turn-outs and repeat attendees.  With all the social ills in our world today, SWAG aims to use art as a tool for spreading the message of peace and respect for all cultures across the globe to encourage a unified humanity.

SWAG Feature: Tone Casso interview with Stacy Flygirrl & Philly 360

Yesterday, Sunday, May 15, Tone Casso's artwork showing a portrait of QuestLove from Philly's own "The Roots", was featured during Inside the Studio at Warmdaddy's.  The piece Casso created was positioned above Quest's head during his interview with Laiya St. Clair.  Tone was interview by Stacy Flygirrl for Philly 360.  She was able to ask Casso a few questions regarding his artistry.

Casso let the readers in on his biggest accomplishment, his favorite visual artist in Philly and how you can find his work on http://www.sharpwithartgroup.com/ and his upcoming blog.

Stacy Flygirrl also gives a great tip!
Insider Tip : Can’t afford the original? Don’t be scared to ask for a print. They are very affordable and can usually be printed to the specific size you’re looking for!
